What you’ll achieve
As an IT Software Engineer, you will deliver products and improvements for a changing world. Working at the cutting edge, you will craft and develop software for platforms, peripherals, applications and diagnostics — all with the most sophisticated technologies, tools, software engineering methodologies and partnerships.
You will:

• Responsible for developing and onboarding CI/CD blueprints for automating software delivery for Cloud Native applications deployable on PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), (PKS) Pivotal container services / kubernetes and Azure.
• Develop python based utilities to automate security tools into CICD pipelines.
• Support container-based CI/CD environment in Gitlab that will scale to support Dell IT’s evolution to cloud Native Application Architecture Delivery.
• Integrate Testing frameworks and tools to automate testing into Software Delivery.
• Work closely with Software delivery teams to evangelize DevOps culture and enable Automation for their applications
• Act as a liaison with stakeholders from security, infrastructure, EA and Application and with delivery teams working primarily within an Agile and Pivotal methodology.
• Research and develop best of breed technologies around automation across Cloud Native applications that leverage cloud foundry, kubernetes, serverless , SaaS etc.

Essential Requirements

• Experience in developing end to end CI/CD solution using popular Platforms like GitLab, Azure.
• Strong hands-on experience in developing python based utilities to automate security tools into CICD pipelines.
• Good scripting skills in popular languages e.g Powershell, Python, Bash etc.
• Experience with Docker containers and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Strong experience in Git based SCMs.
• Strong preference for a polyglot programmer who is comfortable in various development environment including Python/Java/.NET Core.

Desirable Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in software/coding/IT software.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience designing DevOps solutions leveraging Docker container and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
