Enterprise Data team is leading the digital transformation journey within Microsoft Digital and we are looking for experienced software engineer(SWE) with strong technical skills in full stack development and ability to thrive in an agile world to help us achieve our bold goals.  While serving our business partners with their data needs, we also focus on adopting to new technologies in mobile and cloud arena by evaluating products through continuous experimentation and driving feedback loops with various product groups.

Responsibilities

As an engineer on the data team, a person in this role will contribute with software and data engineering skills to contribute to our converged data foundation investments including the enterprise data lake and data management capabilities, while also partnering broadly across the other investments within the team and across our internal partner ecosystem

Qualifications

Required qualifications:

Successful candidate should have: 

• Strong passion and demonstrated experience delivering big data solutions at scale
• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing and shipping data product and platforms solutions
• Hands on experience with cloud tech stack for data like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Event Hub, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, et al 
• Expertise in SQL, Python/PySpark or Scala, and C# or similar 
• Ability to generate clarity in ambiguous situations as an IC leader
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred, not required: 

• Bachelor in Statistics/Math/Computer Science/Economics/Business or Engineering 
• 1+ years of experience with programming .Net solutions.  C# preferred, equivalent experience in Java will be considered 
• Experience with enterprise security, governance, compliance, data quality, etc. 
• Advanced BI dashboard design & development 
• Experience in enterprise data warehouse system design & implementation 
• Familiar with Machine Learning and AI technologies/tools is a big plus 
• Business domain expertise in areas of sales, marketing, supply chain, finance and/or HR
