About You:       

We're looking for a passionate Software Engineer III to join our growing team.  You are comfortable on a small team who is responsible for the entire life cycle of a product. You are passionate about both the art and the skill of creating a great user experience for our customers.

LightStream's software engineers develop next-generation banking and finance technologies. We're looking for engineers with experience working in financial institutions who are ready to raise the bar, bring new ideas, and change the way that banking technology is built and delivered.  

You will be responsible for the design and development of an exciting new products.  You will work together with product management, marketing, and the rest of the development team in the delivery and evolution of this product.   This position demands a self-managed individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment and enjoys collaborating with others.

DATA Experience:

• Experience using Microsoft SQL Server

• Advanced T-SQL development and trouble shooting skills

• Advanced ETL design and development skills using Microsoft SSIS tools

• Strong knowledge of data warehouse design using Kimball methodology

• Strong T-SQL performance tuning and trouble shooting skills

• Strong report development skills using Microsoft SSRS

• Experience in report and dashboard development skills using PowerBI or similar BI presentation tools

• Experience in multi-dimensional cube design and development using Microsoft SSAS

• Experience in C# development skills is preferred

• Experience in data mining and/or BI data analytics is preferred

• Experience with Agile methodology

1. Bachelor’s Degree and six to ten years of experience or equivalent education and software engineering training or experience

2. In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices
3. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
4. Ability to plan and manage projects and solve complex problems by applying best practices
5. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
