WHAT YOU’LL DO

You\'ll build iOS capabilities for one or more projects and tackle build software to support Abbott’s vision. You will pair with design / product problems alongside other engineers to develop features that support the overall product roadmap. Our team uses the latest mobile technologies and we\'ll need your expertise to keep us at the cutting-edge by rapidly developing beautiful, fast, and secure experiences for our users.

  • Build a world-class user experience
  • Engineer efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex iOS applications
  • Tackle tough design and product requirements
  • Work cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering to deliver great user experiences
  • You will identify areas to improve and scale our architecture and application design


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING

MINIMUM:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Sound software Engineering fundamentals
  • Expertise in Test Driven development
  • Expertise in agile methodology and iterative development process
  • Solid knowledge of Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Native, SQL, C++
  • Positive attitude, great team player, and continuously improve the team, the product, and the company
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning, consuming RESTful API\'s, automated testing
  • Experience with application interface guidelines, push notifications, APIs, and cloud messaging
  • Experience in modern deployments through a CI/CD pipeline

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with cloud technologies
  • Experience developing and architecting large scale web applications
  • Detailed knowledge of CSS3, SASS, responsive design
  • 5 years of mobile development experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Experience with unit and integration testing
  • Good written, verbal communication skills
  • Experience with web applications, databases, or iOS is a plus
  • Expertise and interest in designing, building, and maintaining features and libraries on Android
