The Opportunity

Our Austin-based Adobe Commerce Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer to help us make future releases of Magento (Adobe Commerce) the best and most secure they can be. You will deliver security fixes and features, and advise other teams on security as we develop our next generation products.

What you'll do

  • Participate in the design and development of one or more product features or sub-systems

  • Develop Production-level code that is sufficiently supported by automated tests

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation related to the project

  • Actively participate in architecture discussions and propose solutions to system and product changes cross teams

  • Participate in peer code reviews

  • Participate fully in all agile team activities

  • Professional Experience/Qualifications:

What you need to succeed

  • 3+ years web app development experience, working on hardening apps against security threats a huge plus

  • Proficient in PHP in a Production environment

  • BS/MS degree in computer science or similar field (or equivalent additional experience)

  • CI/CD user experience

  • Ability to work independently

  • Written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience as a security engineer or with Secure Coding practices.

  • Ecommerce development experience

  • Certified Magento Developer

  • Knowledge of Web Application Security concepts, threats, exploits and prevention
