Microsoft Azure Storage is a highly distributed, massively scalable, and ubiquitously accessible cloud storage platform. Azure storage already runs at Exascale (storing Exabytes of data) and we will scale our designs over the next decade to support Zettascale (storing Zettabytes of data). Responsibilities

We are looking for engineers who are passionate about distributed storage and want to work on a fast-paced team with talented engineers. The team’s charter is to design and implement protocols and features for ensuring availability, consistency, and durability of petabytes of data across hundreds of nodes. We use distributed algorithms (consensus/Paxos, replication, consistency, etc.) and are looking for engineers interested in this space.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional development experience in C/C++.
• Experience with multi-threaded programming.
• Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms with strong testing, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in designing and building large scale distributed systems.
• Experience in cloud backend development and operation, including performance, reliability, resilience, and scale-out.
