You’ll be working in a great team, responsible for assurance of the reliability of our complex cloud hosted solution in a climate of a high level of change in an ever growing business and tech stack.  You’ll work alongside our Principal Software Engineers and other specialists to support roll out of best practice across our 30 engineering platforms.  You could be one day working on initiatives such as M&A improvements, chaos engineering, auto scaling algorithms, performance tuning, cost efficiencies, inner sourcing, and the next day supporting a blameless post mortem or communicating learnings from a post mortem to other teams.

• Working as part of an enthusiastic, motivated and friendly specialist team that supports many teams in Tech.
• Proactively investigating Production performance and availability and identify areas for improvement.
• Refining a central backlog with Principal Engineers and other specialists (DBE, PE, M&A, Performance), prioritising stories for increasing reliability and efficiency
• Implementing libraries and supporting other teams in implementation, or even implementing yourself through inner sourcing.
• Supporting engineering teams in adopting an SRE mindset, starting with the blameless postmortem process.
• Building our knowledge base of best practice and spreading the word across Engineering.
