The Role

Fidelity Investments has an exciting SW Engineer opportunity in our Mobile Virtual Device Lab(VDL) responsible to deliver groundbreaking mobile testing features and implement, build and support important enterprise software applications.

As a member of the team, you will onboard users by working directly with business and product teams. You will help navigate new technologies like testing automation, mobile management, and cloud-based deployments to help deliver high value to our business. You will maintain, upgrade and setup the private device cloud with the latest devices and OS needs.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field
  • Front-end web development using UI frameworks like Angular/Ionic, TypeScript
  • Familiarity with IOS, Android and OSX operating systems
  • Middle-tier service development with strong API design skills (Java or JS preferred)
  • Familiarity with running software on Cloud Service Providers like Amazon Web Services
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Networks
  • Exposure to MDM or Intune is a plus
  • Proven strong technical design, development, analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience with Customer Technical Support
  • Exposure to mobile application development is a plus
  • Phenomenal verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial services experience is preferred
  • Raleigh/Durham N.C is preferred

The Team

The Virtual Device Lab is part of the larger Enterprise Engineering and QA team within Personal Investing. We maintain a private cloud of mobile devices located across the globe to support internal teams focusing on mobile applications, mobile browsers and automation CI/CD support. The team you will be working with is highly engaged and passionate about solving problems faced by Fidelity's Engineers, UXD and Electronic customer support teams. We are committed to our 3000+ customers’ needs using our agile development process and incorporating the newest technologies and practices.
