The Role
The Fidelity Brokerage Technology QA team is seeking a Software Engineer in Test responsible for assisting in the testing of Fidelity brokerage applications and improvements. There will be opportunities in this role to also work on emerging tools aligned with cloud infrastructure.
This role will be part of an agile team supporting Fidelity’s Margin and Risk team and will involve analysis of user stories. Planning, crafting, automating, and executing the appropriate test cases. This includes developing and executing automation strategies, mining, and manipulating test data, scripting and executing test cases, front-line triage of issues found during execution, and retesting of defects through resolution. Associate in this role will be supporting an organization that develops and supports a suite of margin functions including – buying power calculations, Margin Re-calculations, and account restrictions.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Proven programming experience with Java/J2EE, C++/C, Python, Unix/Linux shell, perl , HTML, JavaScript, Spring, Web Services, Angular, SQL
Experience with test automation using jUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, ReadyAPI, Rest Assured
Proven test automation experience using JS frameworks such as Jasmine, Karma, Karate, JEST, protractor is a plus
Incorporate and streamline test automation into build CI/CD pipelines and quality gates
Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle and are familiar with Agile Ceremonies
Work experience in brokerage platforms is nice to have
Working with Cloud services – AWS, Azure and others a plus.

Crafting, developing, maintaining, and solving automated suites of tests to assess product quality and release readiness.
You will be capable of building an end-to-end test strategy, determining exit criteria, giving to our automation roadmap, and having strong awareness of our audit compliance dedications.
Working with your team to derive release testing requirements throughout the development cycle.
Reproducing, debugging, and isolating problems and verifying fixes
