Key job responsibilities
You will work as part of one of our small Agile teams, launching and growing new initiatives for Amazon's global business. As an engineer, you can be involved in every aspect of the process - from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to development and deployment across a variety of technologies - giving you a real sense of ownership. A day in the life
As a Software Development Engineer in Test on this team, you will lead test automation and infrastructure development. You will build test automation frameworks and tools that enable us test different parts of our software. You will work to improve automation of development, testing and deployment. You will work directly with Developers and QA Engineers to develop best practices for software automation across multiple software teams. You will solve and dive deep into difficult technical challenges, maintain the existing codebase, contribute to team processes and use your creativity to innovate across all of the website stacks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Non-internship professional software development testing experience
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· Experience building test automation frameworks and tools

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in an SDET role
· Demonstrated experience in test framework design and development
· Experience with AWS
· Experience operating and maintaining production software.
· Demonstrated best-practice software engineering including some aspects of agile methodologies, unit testing, refactoring, code reviews, continuous build and deployment processes.
· Advanced coding skills (concurrency, profiling and performance optimization).
· Basic familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
· Basic familiarity with Node.js & React
· Linux/UNIX (command-line tools, shell scripts, operations).
