Azure Compute is at the center of the cloud, providing the virtual machine infrastructure that is fundamental for cloud computing. Within Azure Compute, the Compute Platform team builds services and components involved in the creation and management of millions of virtual machines per day. We are experiencing tremendous growth in enterprise customer traffic volume and usage and have exciting opportunities to enhance the capabilities of the Azure compute platform.

As part of our team, you'll work on microservices and open-source components running within millions of Linux and Windows virtual machines that are critical to Azure and its customers throughout the globe. You'll learn in an fast-paced, supportive environment collaborating with highly skilled engineers and architects. Responsibilities

• Software Development and Design for scenarios spanning microservices and components running in Linux & Windows VMs
• Release and monitor components

Qualifications

Required:

• BS in computer science, computer engineering, related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of software development experience
• Proficient in coding in at least one language 

Preferred:

• Experience in the areas of distributed systems
• C#/C++/Python/GoLang experience
