Digital Security & Resilience (DSR) group is part of Microsoft Security, Compliance, Identity and Management division. DSR supports the company’s overall security mission by providing key security services that help protect systems, services, data and users.
As part of this team, you will be developing advanced and novel detection capabilities for attacker techniques, tactics and procedures, leverage machine learning systems to automate generation of alerts, conducting threat hunting, and performing systems security analysis and threat profiles.
As a software engineer, you will be responsible to work with our team of engineers, designers and product managers to design, implement and support the features, services and applications needed to support the diverse range of complex functions.
Own and contribute to initiatives that drive continuous improvement to our platform and services.
Participate in periodic on-call rotations to handle platform and service incidents, incident postmortem etc.
Foster a healthy and inclusive team environment
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
8+ years of software development experience with background in modern security risk frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK) and emerging enterprise threats (including attacks against Azure, M365, Azure DevOps, GitHub etc.).
Proficient in at least one programming language such as C# or similar, Azure Sentinel SIEM, Azure compute/storage, Kusto/KQL, SQL/NOSQL but not limited to.
Excellent problem solving and debugging skills.
Good working knowledge of design patterns and principles.
Familiarity with big-data and rigorous inference methods such as statistics, data mining, machine learning.
