Responsibilities 

• Develop backend services for our production forecasting platform, using cutting edge cloud technologies

• Deploy forecasting algorithms optimized for execution in an Apache Spark environment (such as Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics)

• Continuously tune machine learning and time series forecasting models

• Engineer features to enhance the performance of machine learning algorithms

• Own the development, quality, testing, and production readiness of the services you build

• Collaborate with business partners and data scientists to design end-to-end solutions

• Develop innovative solutions to hard problems under ambiguity and no obvious solutions

Qualifications

Required 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or similar applied quantitative field

• 4+ years of industry experience in developing production-grade software or machine learning code in a team environment

• Proficiency using Python in a distributed computing environment, such as Spark 

Preferred

• Excellent computer science fundamentals with strong testing, debugging, and analytical skills

• Experience with typical data management systems and tools such as SQL

• Experience with maintaining a large code base using code versioning systems such as git
