Responsibilities

As a critical part of the wireless LTE Sustaining team, we are looking for an experienced engineer who is passionate about building and managing a world-class wireless LTE service that supports 5G/4G/3G technologies in the evolved packet core network

• Troubleshoot and isolate the problem reported by customers down to the node, configuration, interface, protocol, and line of code
• Simulation of reported issues using lab equipment, test tools, code navigation, debugging techniques, technology understanding, and ingenuity.
• Fix issues and develop minor enhancements for the various features of 4G & 5G components of Mobile Packet Core product including Gateway, SMF & UPF functions
• Work collaboratively with other teams across globe to provide faster resolution to the issues reported
• Development of tools/scripts to automate and improve productivity and process
• Participate in a 24×7 emergency support rotation (On need basis)
• Resolve customer reported issues in a timely SLA based fashion

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in developing Control plane and forwarding plane software on embedded networking platforms.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills are required
• Domain experience in 4G/LTE/5G packet core network
• Excellent C++ programming skills and strong OOD knowledge
• Strong knowledge in Control Plane & User Plane protocols
• Experience dealing with critical customer issues.
• Customer obsession and passion for shipping high-quality products
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
