We, the Azure Core Compute team in IDC, pride ourselves in working without boundaries to enable customers realize benefits of leveraging cloud computing. We are looking for a technically savvy and 'learn-it-all' Software Engineer 2 to contribute to the future of our platform’s offerings, while learning all the nuances of designing, building, shipping and managing cloud scale Azure services. • Drive Azure customer adoption through enhancements to the Azure Compute Platform.
• Design and develop scenarios and workflows across microservices and components in distributed system.
• Work with other engineers to proactively improve service quality.
• Seek additional opportunities to improve customer experience.
Basic Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience in developing software and services
• BS/MS in computer science, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Proficient at C#, Java or C++
• Experience with distributed programming models
• Experience with multi-threaded/parallel programming
• Full stack development
• Ability to plan, schedule and deliver quality software
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• BS+ in computer science or related fields
• .NET experience a plus
