Azure Arc enables organizations to deploy Azure services anywhere and extend Azure management to any infrastructure. 

Azure Arc simplifies governance and management by delivering a consistent multi-cloud and on-premises management platform with a single pane of glass. We are looking for software engineers to help us build a world class hybrid platform based on Kubernetes and latest open-source technologies. 

Responsibilities

You will join us in one of the Arc teams that will empower customers to seamlessly manage their Kubernetes clusters, VMs hosted on private clouds through Azure. You will also collaborate in building a Kubernetes based Arc platform and features that will empower customers to manage other Azure services delivered via this platform across clouds, data-centers, and edge. You will enable partner Azure teams like Azure SQL bring traditionally Azure services to on-premises on this platform. You will enable different 1st party and 3rd party private clouds to leverage this platform to enable on-premises VM management through Azure. You will also work with different Azure partner teams to extend existing Azure management services to on-premises VMs. 

You will also: 

• Improve scalability, quality, and reliability of Azure Arc services. 

• Accelerate development velocity for all engineers and deliver continuous improvements to the team’s process and codebase. 
• Build automation to prevent and/or remediate service problems from becoming production incidents. 

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in commercial software development. (Required) 
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience (Required) 
• Experience in building, shipping and operating reliable, distributed systems software. (Required) 
• Ability to engage in site-reliability engineering practices. (Required) 
• Experience with containers and Kubernetes. (preferred) 

• Experience in Golang and Linux. (preferred) 
• Experience with vCenter/ open stack environment. (preferred) 
• Commitment to collaboration and teamwork and ability to deliver via influence 
• Demonstrated problem solving and debugging skills. 
• Experience building RESTful services. 

• Experience developing software hosted in Azure, AWS, or other similar Cloud platforms.
