Following extensive investment across our Technology and Digital domains, we are currently seeking a number of experienced Software Engineer to join HSBC Technology.

Wholesale Technology sits within HSBC Operations, Services and Technology (HOST). Our team provides the technology solutions that enable the business to operate and service customers. From cutting edge relationship management platforms built using Agile/DevOps to industrial strength engines that power global online websites and trade platforms, our highly engaged and talented team can do it all.

Wholesale Technology Shared Services - We are a team that delivers systems with a cross Wholesale IT remit – Eg – Systems that support On-boarding and KYC of Wholesale customers, Cloud Infrastructure, Regulatory Portfolio. The team also supports ongoing maintenance of the above mentioned systems which are in Production. We are also a coordination point for Wholesale IT demand into non Wholesale IT owned shared platforms, for example into Core Banking and Wholesale Operations and a target delivery and/or operational department for further technology with cross Wholesale use cases / consumers

Wholesale Client Services - Digital Onboarding Wholesale is a platform to transform Customer experience during Onboarding journey and regular KYC / CDD review process.

It aims as well to improve the Customer Review Process while decreasing the time it takes to do so.

What you will be doing;

• Ensure the application design aligning with architecture and engineering guidance while meeting the business expectation
• Production stability first, so ensure new components without disrupting the existing production cases (Case Migration)
• Deliver project artefacts on time and in good quality meeting and exceeding engineering KPIs (Inclusive of keeping defects to a minimal, guide in Sprint testing in coordination with the test manager)
• Deliver Deployment activities to the different environments
• Ensure the scope of work is manageable, simple and can be released with high cadence
• Ensure effective communication and collaboration of work across all the required teams to deliver a feature
• Identify and interconnect with the other POD leads to have a coherent end to end solution
• Produce POC, whenever necessary to test a concept/model

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role; 

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:

•             L3 certification (minimum L2 accreditation)

•             Overall strong experience in delivering Appian solutions

•             Overall strong experience in delivering Microservice architecture solutions based on Java, Springboot

•             Experience in agile software development

•             Experience in implementing DevOps

•             Work under pressure and self-motivated

•             Understand and attain technical knowledge from the job experience.
