If you answered YES to these above questions, the â€œPlatform Engineering â€“ Integration Services” team is for you. The Integration Services team provides enterprise scale platform for various business processes and their systems to integrate each other. These business processes are spread across many external partners to various internal line of business systems. We are looking for Software Engineers who can define, design, develop and deliver  enterprise scenarios build on technologies like Azure Logic Apps, Azure API Management, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Monitoring, Event Grid etc. We are looking for individuals who combines passion for customer, technical aptitude, team player and has great people skills. 

In Integration Service team you will be involved in defining platform architecture, designing, and implementing the business capabilities by leveraging various Azure capabilities that enable our mission critical business partners.

Responsibilities

Role encompasses primarily developing and delivery of integration platform capabilities. This position is responsible for providing overall architecture and technical leadership to the Integration Services related platform components for its current and future state. Working collaboratively with engineering team, setting technical direction for the team, ensuring all commitments are met as per architecture guidance and developing strong partnerships with other groups, globally to help program expand and mature.

 

Ideal candidates should have a strong balance of hands-on technical, platform mindset and architecture related skills. A proven history of working well across large scale, globally dispersed groups, driving design decision, ensuing the development of high-quality solutions with an emphasis on quality, simplicity and maintainability while ensuring sound instrumentation and telemetry into the solutions to measure availability and operational intelligence metrics and overall service and engineering excellence mindset is must for the candidate.

 

Engineering Responsibilities:

  • Defining, implementation and managing the service roadmap for integration services meeting current and future growth and opportunities for the program.
  • Champion in service health, live site responsibilities and maturity engineering processes.
  • Provide leadership and collaboration with engineering and PM team, including development of roadmap, engineering and service excellence goals and related OKRs.
  • Understand organizational strategic directions and align platform architecture and future roadmap accordingly.  
  • Communicate and socialize the architecture direction to org and leadership.

 

Other responsibilities include:  

  • Provide architecture guidance towards engineering of solution design of our platforms ensuring they are always positioned to drive high-quality, reliable, systems enablement.
  • Own, implement and deliver complex modules within program and establish best engineering practices in the program.
  • Champion modern engineering practices (Agile, Live Site, Telemetry, backlog grooming, etc.) and help evolve customer experience and value.
  • Contribute towards big bet project releases, product launches and other moments of truth.
  • Drive service improvements through focus on automation and technical debt reduction.
  • Partner with peers on system performance, capacity management and scalability to ensure sustained service stability, SLAs and Business KPIs
  • Contribute towards service compliance automation and maturity by defining the roadmap.
  • Partner with Solution Owners, Business stakeholders, Enterprise Architects, SWE, SRE/SE in analyzing requirements, analyzing impacts, proposing designs, fleshing these out to detailed designs, and finally driving the designs to completion through feature Team.
  • Engage with business and work closely with upstream and downstream application owners to effectively build a ‘trusted advisor’ relationship with these teams through consistent on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Partner with other SWE managers to improve overall engineering and service maturity.
  • Expert in Microsoft Technologies, various Azure Technologies, Full Stack awareness, infrastructure and data architecture expertise and ability to drive enterprise scale architecture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant enterprise software design, delivery, and architecture experience.
  • Ability to engage with customers and partners, both inside and outside of Microsoft to understand their business needs and priorities, technological landscape, and roadmaps.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with other leaders who are responsible for overall technical platform design and management.
  • Prior experience in designing, developing, and operating large scale services in addition to building and leading strategic technical roadmap.
