We own the charter of expanding Business to Business market to new marketplaces. We need engineers who can step into ambiguous problem and help us build and collaborate with multiple teams to support our B2B vision around the world. We are building new team, join us to be one of the founders. You will join a highly technical and entrepreneurial team building applications to disrupt the B2B Market. You will participate in the full development cycle, end-to-end, from design, implementation, and testing to documentation, delivery and maintenance. You will evaluate and make decisions around the use of new or existing technologies and tools, and you’ll coach and mentor junior development engineers. We work in an entrepreneurial environment and deliver value incrementally and frequently. In this role we are looking for a passionate and talented Software Development Manager who can build and lead the team of smart engineers working on innovative & mission critical software and services. You will have an enormous opportunity to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and development of consumer products. You will be responsible for owning large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications and tools.


* The role has high potential growth that has opportunity to work with Sr. Engineering leadership (PE, Sr. SDE and Sr. Managers) across AB, consumer Prime and Marketing.
* The scope of the work spreads across multiple portfolio of products and services. It gives opportunity to get broader knowledge and experience of Amazon (buying experience, seller experience, Customer Acquisition, Account Management etc).
* You will establish and provide technical vision for strategies for plug & play architecture in launching features that spread multiple countries.
* Create, prioritize, communicate, manage, and execute roadmaps, project plans, and commitments.
* You will apply Amazon innovation mechanisms and AWS technologies including native AWS, machine learning, and more at scale.
* You get be part of new team and shape the culture of the team.
* Hire, coach, and mentor individuals; build a strong cross-functional organization.
* Work closely with engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• 2+ years of people management experience, managing engineers
• Experience in partnering with product and program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 8+ years of software development experience as a manager
* Deep hands-on technical expertise in cloud based distributed software design and development, more so using AWS services
* · Experience with C++, Java, or Java Script
* · Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development
* · Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
* · A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, and a track record of shipping software on time
* · Experience with the SCRUM methodology for agile software development preferred
* · Experience designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performance
* · A passion for people management and mentorship
* · Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
* Open to work off-shift hours to collaborate with teams across US, Madrid and India.
