The AFT Luxembourg team is seeking an inventive, results-oriented software leader who can join us in building technological platforms which would help Fulfillment Centers (FCs i.e. Amazon Warehouses) around the world to operate efficiently by providing live work-in-progress information and insights to FC users and software services which rely on real time information for planning, staffing, risk and other operational inputs. These platforms provide aggregate data from multiple systems and help build an end-to-end picture of FC state to help users make key decisions to improve efficiency, staff optimally, troubleshoot issues etc. These decisions impact delivery of packages to Amazon customers.. So, your work will directly influence Amazon business and customer promise. As a member of this team, you will get the opportunity to work on highly visible, innovative projects that directly impact the customer experience. You will be involved in all the aspects of the software development cycle including scoping, design, implementation, testing & delivery of your product. As a Software Development Manager in AFT, you will lead a team of engineers in design, development, test, and deployment of a foundational set of services at the heart of Amazon's fulfillment engine. You will be challenged with building a top-notch engineering team to deliver innovative and scalable systems that 100’s of FC’s across the globe rely on for day-to-day operations. You will be empowered to think big, invent on behalf of our customers, independently make judgment calls to keep teams moving and find elegant solutions to hard problems. You will directly own the architecture, engineering quality and technical roadmap of your services. Successful candidates will have an established track record delivering complex software systems, excellent people and project management skills, keen technical aptitude, solid communication skills, and be driven to achieve results in a fast paced environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
· Experience in partnering with product and program management teams

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
