Job Description

  • Accountable for ensuring the technical delivery from the development and test teams, is in line with the project schedule;
        o Review progress of the development and test teams;
        o Report to the Delivery Manager on progress;
        o Liaise with the customer or account manager to discuss issues;

  • Responsible for ensuring the development and test teams understand the customer requirements and how those requirements will be met by the proposed technical solution;

  • Creation and agreement of project schedule for the phases and activities under your control;

  • Accountable for ensuring the technical delivery from the development and test teams, is in line with the project schedule;

  • Responsible for ensuring the technical delivery meets expected company standards (e.g. technical development standards and documentation standards);

  • Working with the offshore delivery team

  • Liaison between the project Solution Architect, technical teams and any third-party vendors;

  • Review technical specifications and clarify/address queries from the team

What we're looking for:

  • Strong organisational, interpersonal and time management skills.

  • Objective decision-making ability based on strategic objectives priority, business performance analysis and resource availability.

  • Hands on experience managing the software development elements of an overall IT implementation project

  • Project manager/ Software Development Manager with a Java Development background. Someone that understands and can read code. This is a hands on role.

  • Demonstrable technical architecture/infrastructure knowledge of significant technology or business processes

  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to suggest technical solutions to problems where required

  • Interviewing skills/technique

  • Proven presentation skills

  • Good listening and communication skills (oral and written)

  • Estimation skills covering costs and timelines for new development requests.
