We are looking for a creative & customer obsessed Engineering manager who can lead a team of engineers that deliver highly scalable personalization solutions that give customers the most optimum experience when subscribing to Prime or Prime Video Channels, buying/renting movies and TV shows, and managing their subscriptions (Commerce).

Key job responsibilities
You will own software the delivers personalized experiences across the PV app to customers subscribing to Prime or Prime Video Channels, buying/renting movies and TV shows, and managing their subscriptions. You will own a machine learning pipeline that customizes marketing assets so that customers experience showcases the best and most relevant movies and TV shows to them . You will lead your team in setting a forward looking architectural vision that enables us to continue to deliver rapidly on behalf of our customers. You own the operational health and vision of a Java service that serves thousands of customers every second and is critical to PV’s architecture. You define the charter and metrics for your team. You will establish solid relationships with product managers, scientists and SDE’s to deliver your roadmap.

A day in the life
As a manager in the Commerce Optimization team you will develop roadmaps, define and prioritize features which optimize Prime Videos experience for customers. You will responsibility for strategic opportunity assessment to tactical road mapping and feature development in your area. You will need to be comfortable operating at a granular level of detail but be able to zoom out quickly too high level strategic thinking. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and work effectively with tech and non-technical stakeholders.

About the team
As a member of the Prime Video Commerce Optmisation team, you will spend your time as a engineering leader. You will play a key role on the team, building and engineers and scientists to train and launch machine learning models from the ground up.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Relevant engineering experience
· Experience managing engineers
· Experience in partnering with product and program management teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience with running and training machine learning models in production
· Experience with high volume, low latency services.
