The Amazon Books ownership(Gamut) team is looking for Software Development Engineers!

Amazon invites smart, talented and innovative software development engineers to join Books team and take part in designing and developing our next-generation tools and services which helps customers engage with their current books acquisitions and discover new reads.

Books ownership experience is fragmented based on its format; we will explore on features that will help customers to easily identify & utilize this Information across reader's journey with their books. Expect to be challenged!

Our charter is to integrate ownership signals and experiences throughout a reader’s journey with their books. Providing these signals and experiences helps customers engage with their current acquisitions and discover new reads.

Brief on Work:-
As part of the team, you'll build tools and systems that help readers identify books that they already own in any format, personalize searching experience for their next read & manage their books acquisition. You will need to invent, design and develop end-to-end products that continuously improve reader's book journey. At Amazon, you would thrive in an environment where you'd solve challenging technical problems, often the ones others have not solved before, with peers who have industry leading technical abilities and your solutions will be rolled out to a huge number of customers across the world. A successful candidate will have an established background in understanding existing file-formats (doc/docx/html/epub/pdf/Html-Rendering-Tree) , a strong technical ability, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
Work with team to design & develop features across web & mobile devices. Partner with Product Manger & Software Development Manager to identify & solve top customer problems. Support team to assure highest quality possible for designing & developing new features.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
· Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
· 1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.

Qualification:-
BE / B Tech / MCA / ME / M Tech. in Computer Science or related fields

Experience:-
3+ years of experience in designing and developing cross platform customer facing applications

Skills:-
* Strong in Computer Science fundamentals and core areas like Problem Solving, Data Structures, Algorithms and Complexity Analysis
* Strong Analytical Abilities
* Strong expertise in desktop UI technologies, web UI technologies, webservices
* Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java
* Experience architecting, designing and developing customer facing applications
* Passion for Usability and User Experience Design

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
