The ideal candidate will be instrumental in shaping the product direction and will be actively involved in defining key product features that impact the business. You will work with Principal Engineers at Amazon to evolve the design and architecture of the products owned by this team. You will be responsible to set up and hold a high software quality bar besides providing technical direction to a highly technical team of Software Engineers.

As a software development engineer, you will work on building scalable applications for automating revenue calculations and accounting booking for music subscriptions. This job requires you to hit the ground running, your ability to learn quickly and work on multiple disparate microservices and overlapping systems that will define your success.

Some of the key job functions: - Building applications and tools for business teams to onboard to existing or new systems by updating code-configs for new project launches and marketplace expansions

• Work on onboarding, operations and maintenance driven coding projects, primarily in Python, Java and AWS technologies
• Develop tools and features to aid operations and maintenance and testing.
• Provide support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, with responsibilities covering multiple products, features and services
• System and Support status reporting.
• Ownership of one or more Digital products or components .

The ideal candidate will be a leader, quick learner and be able to work independently. He/she should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical. The candidate will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of development experience at least one or more of the following languages (Java, Python and Perl) ·
• Expertise in object oriented design and design patterns
• Experience releasing highly scalable enterprise products full lifecycle
• Experience mentoring and training others on complex technical issues
• Experience with implementing algorithms to solve complex real world problems
• Solid coding practices including good design documentation, unit testing, peer code reviews, and a preference for agile methods
• Excellent verbal and written communication

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
• Experience in accounting domain and Deep hands-on technical expertise
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
