We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Group Reputation team, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.
Group Reputation are responsible for protecting the reputation of the bank, by delivering world-class issue handling, crisis management, and scenario planning, for our most pressing known and emerging risks. We are also responsible for enhancing the reputation of the bank, through a compelling narrative about growth and transformation and a credible voice on our identified reputation themes, addressing our target audiences directly.
In this role, you will:
- Create world class content for our corporate social media channels that is additive to HSBC’s reputation, partnering with a broad range of Communications colleagues to ensure social content lands with maximum impact and ongoing audience engagement via our social channels
- Work closely as part of a team with Planning and Publishing colleagues and other HSBC departments that rely on social media to develop effective and appropriate runways of content for social channels
- Work with our senior leadership to help key stakeholders shape and manage their social media profiles, helping to grow our thought leadership on the themes that positively differentiate us, and building external and internal advocacy for what’s best about HSBC
- Work across Communications through the project management of key campaigns and moments, helping to ensure that outputs and outcomes align to content objectives and support audience engagement
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Experience of writing social media copy, ideally at a complex global organization
- Experience of generating and commissioning creative multimedia assets that enhance and augment that copy and narrative messaging
- A proven history of helping grow social media followers and engagement across the core channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
- The ability to create, at pace, social media content which will be relevant to and appropriate for HSBC’s key target audiences
- Knowledge of key content creation, planning and reporting tools, such as Sprinklr, Monday.com, Canva, video editing tools, image creation tools, platform ad managers
- An understanding of the role of social media within a matrix of owned, earned and paid media
- A proven ability to work with stakeholders from multiple teams within internal and external functions, including senior leadership
- An ability to work within an ambiguous environment, prioritise and reconcile competing demands and resolve complex issues
