Who we are looking for?
We are looking for a skilled professional to join the EMEA SCI and Nike London team to lead the design and implementation of the Social and Community Impact strategy in the key global city of London. The SCI Director will be a leader in social impact and guide local teams in managing a portfolio of partnerships the deliver on Nike’s global commitments focused on providing access to sport and creating a more equitable future for all. The role will also focus on engaging our local employees in the community across London. The candidate should have experience across social impact, community sport, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
Key responsibilities:
Leading all aspects of Nike’s community impact strategy in London
Synthesizing local insights to understand the opportunities and barriers to creating equity through sport and driving participation in sport for kids and their communities.
Researching and understanding the diversity in communities across the city as part of Nikes Inclusive Communities work
Responsible for the process, decision making and execution of all community relationships
Developing community investment strategies including managing the London SCI budget;
Managing all key stakeholder relationships in the city;
Engaging partners with aligned goals to implement programs and partnerships
Responsible for all aspects of portfolio management; legal, due diligence, impact reporting and program/partnership management of grantees
Collaborate closely with Nike teams and functions including being part of the London leadership team. The role will partner cross functionally with Brand Marketing, Nike Direct, Communications, Government & Public Affairs, Human Resources and others.
Qualifications and requirements to be considered
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work across multiple different projects at one time, supporting different initiative tracks;
Mastery of driving processes and project leadership to achieve team results;
Proven capabilities to lead cross-functional initiatives by networking, building relations, taking a collaborative approach and influencing others;
Structuring and managing multi-sector partnerships, including with government, NGOs, sporting associations and multi-lateral groups;
Planning and managing corporate volunteers;
Understanding of the London landscape – community and sport. Network preferrable.
Knowledge of the social impact, corporate responsibility and sports sectors, especially community- and school-based sports programming;
Knowledge of Diversity, equity and inclusion
Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills with proven ability to structure and deliver content that inspires and engages others;
Undergraduate (preferably in Development or Social Sciences) degree required and Graduate (preferably in Management) degree preferred;
At least 8 years of professional experience in Social Impact/Corporate Responsibility/Non-profit Sector.
