About the Team

 The small business mobile team is responsible for defining the Marketing plan that will achieve our commercial and customer objectives, helping to underpin the soho mobile P&L.

 Whether that be creating an innovative new value proposition to target a key customer segment in the market, identifying how we best retain our existing customers, or finding and exploiting opportunities to cross-sell our fantastic range of products and services to new and existing customers.

 We are constantly on the lookout for ways to market our products and services to new and existing customers in a way that meets real business needs and drives commercial impact to the P&L.

 

About the role

 We’re at an important stage in our journey in small business, as Virgin Media and O2 join forces to supercharge businesses across the UK.

 The role of a Pricing Manager is a key role supporting the small business mobile team with pricing expertise, analysis, and insight. This role is accountable for pricing recommendations, governance, and execution of day-to-day trading pricing activity across key company products: Handset, Simo, MBB and out of bundle charging, and other value-added services. It is also responsible for supporting the development of the pricing strategy, competitor pricing analysis and new pricing models across the portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the development of trading pricing and promotions recommendations across Handset, Simo and MBB to support achievement of near-term P&L objectives. Working with the rest of the team to provide pricing expertise across acquisition, retention and in life initiatives to optimise P&L value.
  • Manage the pricing matrix, pricing governance and execution processes. Take responsibility for the end-to-end pricing process and controls ensuring accurate and timely execution of all price changes, including delivery into trading channels
  • Ownership of Pricing Reporting – ensuring we have the right insight to understand our pricing vs competition and drive future pricing recommendations
  • Deliver post implementation review for key pricing and promotions, ensuring learnings are being used to improve ongoing recommendations
  • Provide Pricing input and expertise into areas such as the annual and quarterly budgeting and planning process, the Transformation programme and new Propositions or initiatives

 

What We Need from You:

 

  • Strong commerciality and pricing experience
  • Highly numerate with acute attention to detail
  • Advanced excel
  • Strong collaboration and team-working skills, willing to go above and beyond for the team
  • Ability to distil & clearly communicate complex information
  • Process governance and experience in project or process management is desirable
  • SQL/Database Skills are desirable but not essential
