Associate Project Manager - Aurora, NE

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for fundamental executional activities of projects. The Associate Project Manager is an active member of the Central Engineering community, the local engineering team, and project team(s) currently assigned.  The Associate Project Manager is responsible for deploying his/her engineering know-how to successfully support the execution of projects to the business that deliver a sustained technical competitive advantage.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering being preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in a technical position - food, beverage, pharmaceutical or related industry would be preferred
  • Basic understanding of engineering principals - knowledge of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Construction or Computer Services 
  • Understanding of Project Management; The ability to mobilize fast and aggressive timelines and producing quality work while collaborating and influencing, working with various partners and cross functional teams, leadership, and/or external contractors
  • Ability to deliver results despite potential change and ambiguity 
  • Strong communication, listening, and influencing skills
  • Strong business acumen skills – compiling reports, presentations, financial oversight, and leadership on projects
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Projects would be a plus
     

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Leadership of all site related capital projects of up to $1M and work stream partnership with other key engineers on larger projects
  • Providing input into the project development process
    • Technical feasibility
    • Innovative ideas 
    • Ideas that provide a sustained technical competitive advantage 
    • Technical information required for project design
  • Communicate and collaborate with all Stakeholders and other functions (R&D, Quality, Commercial, Finance) to ensure capital project objectives are clearly defined and achieved.
  • Key member and contributor of the CVS (Commission, Validation, Start-up) Team
  • Managing individual construction contractors during the installation phase of the project
  • Supporting commitments of project scope, time, and budget
