Site Procurement Manager: St. Cloud, FL

Position Summary

The Site Procurement Manager is a highly visible plant leadership role that is responsible for sourcing and planning within the site. The Site Procurement Manager partners with the plant leadership team to support manufacturing requirements and drive continuous improvements in supplier performance and cost to build competitive advantage for Mercury.

A successful Site Manager will be a fast and keen learner of internal and external processes specific to the plant operational needs.

This position is located in St. Cloud, FL.

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategic

  • Develop and drive execution of sourcing and supplier management strategies to improve supply, cost, risk management, product development, and innovation
    • Develop and manage site procurement strategy
    • Identify and execute cost reduction projects
    • Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks

Operational

  • Ensure continuity of supply to support operations
  • Create policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation
  • Implement supplier performance metrics to track and improve delivery reliability
  • Meet plant inventory budget operating plan
  • Manage every aspect of the supply chain and notify the senior management team of any possible obstacles to ideal efficiency

Leadership

  • Evaluate and enhance our operations while researching and prospecting developments in global supply base
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead and support continuous improvement activities for Mercury internal processes and systems
  • Lead and mentor buyer and planner team

Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain or closely related field
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain and/or procurement
  • Experience with negotiating and cost management; adept at managing conflict and handling difficult situations
  • Proficient with engineering prints and specifications, APQP, and PPAP processes
  • Excellent data analysis abilities and software skills, including Microsoft Excel, Power BI; proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Project
  • Excellent time management and organization skills, able to comfortably manage multiple ongoing projects, prioritize and adapt in response to changing business needs
  • Positive attitude, ethics, and international values to promote a healthy, diverse, high performance culture

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPM and/or CPIM certification
  • Lean and Six Sigma certification and application experience
