This is a key role, caring for and maintaining the setting of a Grade 1 Scheduled monument. Working as part of a visitor focused team, that welcomes over 200,000 visitors a year, your role will focus on the physical maintenance of the castle grounds; managing vegetation, keeping paths on good repair and ensuring infrastructure for events and visitors are always in excellent order. This role will be known as a Facilities Co-ordinator internally.

Due to the nature of this role a driving licence is required.
One of Britain's most iconic and evocative survivors of the English Civil War, partially demolished in 1646 by the Parliamentarians, Corfe is now cared for by a team that works smoothly together to ensure that visitors have a really great experience in a beautiful setting. The presentation of the castle is a key part of this and a willingness to do what is required to create a memorable visit, is key in this role.

Working as part of Visitor Operations team, and under guidance from conservators, the role of Site Maintenance Officer will range from assisting with keeping the site clean and well-presented through to delivering work on the physical conservation of the castle, its ecology or visitor presentation needs. A key role in assisting in conservation of the castle for the future generations.
