Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Those areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to the following areas:
- Maintains receiving, warehouse, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures
- Complies with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements Enforces adherence to requirements, advising management on needed items.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacements.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, etc.
- Keeps area safe, clean and organized
- Performs other related duties as required
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Requirements for this position will include but not be limited to the following skills, competencies and experience:
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of supervisory experience specifically in the areas of warehouse, inventory and shipping
- High school degree/GED
- Thorough knowledge of the MS Office software
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills
- Proven record of effectively managing multiple projects at one time
- Ability to travel on occasion for training or to support other manufacturing locations
Preferred Requirements
- Experience in a high speed manufacturing environment
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Logistics, Business or a related area is preferred

Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- The associate may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus
Working Conditions
- Will be required to perform job duties outside of the typical office setting in a plant/warehouse environment as well as in an office
- While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic
- The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
- The noise level is frequently loud
