Shift Manager- Greenville, MS

What are we looking for?

  • This is a leadership position which supervises multi- production area on one shift of operation.  This manager will coordinate the short-term activities of this area within established guidelines and standards to produce the highest quality, lowest cost product in the safest and most efficient manner.  The Shift Manager will facilitate teams in his/her area of responsibility and conduct or coordinate the necessary training for both the individual associates and the team

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Leads the shift to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency. Efficiently process and package goods to ensure production goals are met. Adequately staff, train, and equip associates on shift. Handles administrative issues with associates. Focal point for production during active shifts. Reports production numbers for shift and is accountable for issues or problems that arise.
  • Manages, handles, and directs all activities for production during a shift. At times, will be the leader of the plant depending on when the shift occurs. Ensures all materials are needed for processing and packaging of goods. Works cross-functionally with quality, safety, and maintenance to ensure the production numbers are met. Responsible for associate accountability on shift and staffing, to include hiring new associates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Ability to convey communications clearly and concisely, Understanding of major functions within the plant and the ability to work directly with all levels and functions, standing/walking for extended periods of time (12 hrs), lift up to 50 lbs, understand technical equipment, basic computer skills (word, excel, email, etc.)

  • 5 years experience in a Production Environment, 3 years experience in a supervisory or managerial role, Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices
