Our technology teams in the UK work closely with HSBC’s global businesses to help design and build digital services that allow our millions of customers around the world, to bank quickly, simply and securely. We also run and manage our IT infrastructure, data centres and core banking systems that power the world’s leading international bank.

Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps engineers, IT architects, front and back end developers, infrastructure specialists, cyber experts, as well as project and programme managers.

What you will be doing;

 

Essentially, you will be accountable for Agile delivery and management of one or multiple pods providing ServiceNow-based solutions that enable our colleagues to engage efficiently and effectively with HR, and for HR to provide a first-class customer service to our colleagues.

Working across multiple ServiceNow HRSD Agile Delivery Pods, you’ll run delivery sprints that provide both a continuous stream of value to the business and also ensure the ongoing safe and stable operation of the platform.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Actively lead the ServiceNow Agile Delivery Pod e.g. development of changes, implementation of new modules/features, upgrades/patching, proactive monitoring of system health and performance resolution of system defects, delivery of service requests,
  • Collaborating with HR product owners, HRIT Agile Lead and/or Scrum Master to deliver the ServiceNow product backlog
  • Capturing, analysing and documenting business process
  • Participating in the solution design to address business requirements
  • Delivering ServiceNow based solutions, using out of the box configuration and/or code frameworks e.g. system config, scripts, rules, workflow, portal widgets (HTML5, CSS, Javascript), security rules
  • Testing config and code to ensure it meets necessary requirements and quality measures
  • Aligning with HSBC development standards and good practice guidance, including Agile delivery and Release Management controls
  • Writing appropriate functional and technical documentation for all delivery
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities e.g. error detection and performance enhancements
  • Ensuring alignment with HSBC delivery controls, governance and documentation requirements

Requirements

Essential Skills/Experience:

 

To be successful in this role you should have proven experience within the Technology sector with knowledge of the following skills:

 

  • ServiceNow HR Service Delivery implementation and/or continuous delivery experience
  • Proven experience working on SaaS platforms, implementing and supporting software, and working with software vendors to keep abreast of developments, releases and roadmaps.
  • Sound experience of applying Agile methodologies, running ceremonies, sprints across multiple pods, ideally with working experience of DevOps.
  • Proficiency in IT Service Management processes, particularly Change, Incident and Problem Management.

 

 

The role will be based in London but some travel may be required.
