Key accountabilities and responsibilities

  • Lead the MyHR Payroll Service Transition team including Delivery Managers and Training Team from strategy through to delivery.

  • Define the Vision and how this translates to the future service model strategy (aligned to the overall programme, design, and technology strategies)

  • Apply current and innovative methodologies to ensure robust, compliant, and tested approaches to ensure successful outcomes.

  • Define the Service Delivery critical metrics in line with the business case and ensure the plan is aligned to deliver these.

  • Lead engagement with key team members and implementation partners to deliver the Service Transition strategy.

  • Define operational readiness measures and monitor and track progress, reporting any deviations and risks through the programme governance group.

  • Devise the business roll out approach and phasing (in line with tech deployment plan).

  • Responsible for assurance of business readiness pre launch.

  • Measure and report on critical metrics.

  • Service transition to BAU to incorporate service stabilisation and long-term continuous improvement approach.

  • Works with the Programme Manager to secure appropriate project resources and raises where project resourcing issues arise.

  • Leads, coaches and mentors team members.

Key experience

  • Experience of leading a payroll service team with an extensive understanding of payroll services.

  • Able to use payroll service knowledge to articulate and translate ways of working across the business to fully support the implementation of the new service model.

  • Experience of setting up a new payroll service model.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communications skills.

  • Commercially savvy.

  • A strong external lens to demonstrate innovative knowledge and practice from outside of the organisation and relevant experts.

  • Innovation – delivering new ideas and solutions that deliver bigger results faster.

  • Working with agility where planning and structure are balanced against the need to anticipate and adapt to future change

  • Naturally inquisitive and challenging, seeks constant improvements with an integrated approach.

  • Collaborative and works consciously with roles across the Programme and wider business teams.
