The Salary:  8.91 per hour

Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 31st December 2022 - working on average 80 hours over the year

Springhill was the home of ten generations of Lenox-Conyngham family. Regarded as one of the prettiest houses to visit in Northern Ireland, its portraits and furniture are shared by one of Ireland's best-documented ghosts.

What you'll be doing

To deliver the role of Service Assistant successfully, you’ll need to be proud to work in such a unique location and thrive on delivering exceptional customer service.

As a Service Assistant you’ll bring the magic of this property alive. You’ll be a charismatic storyteller, someone who enjoys working and interacting with people.  In your role as a guide you will either be positioned in the historic house during self-guided tours or provide a fully guided tour to our visitors, offering a friendly welcome and answer any questions they may have. 

You will be responsible for promoting a friendly, professional and engaging image of the Trust while carrying out your role as a House  guide. Along with a passion for providing the highest standards of customer service you’ll be able to inspire those around you with your passion and enthusiasm for our work.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to learn to deliver and follow a defined script for giving information to visitors during free flow tours

• Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety procedures
