The Service Applications Administrator role is responsible for three critical systems supporting the Mercury Marine Service team including Salesforce, AEM and SharePoint.
- Salesforce: Responsible for creating user accounts, maintaining our service forms and case databases, training staff on the effective use of Salesforce products, troubleshooting Salesforce questions and issues, and integrating Salesforce with AEM portals.
- AEM: Responsible for managing, maintaining, and creating Service portals in AEM technology and integrating the sites with Salesforce or other Mercury Service Systems.
- SharePoint: Responsible for managing, maintaining, and creating Service SharePoint site and integrating the sites with other Mercury Service and Microsoft applications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Salesforce
- Ensuring optimal performance of Salesforce systems and products
- Upgrading and configuring Salesforce systems for optimized integration
- Managing Salesforce roles, profiles, sharing rules, workflows, and groups
- Importing service department cases, contacts, and other data
- Maintaining the service cloud, as well as building custom reports and dashboards
- Performing database maintenance tasks, including diagnostic tests and duplicate entry cleansing
- Evaluating and installing Salesforce applications from the AppExchange, as well as providing training and support
- Working with IT on security approval for any application identified as necessary or valuable in the Salesforce AppExchange
- Documenting processes, including error reports and changes to field history tables
- Preparing reports for sales and other departments
- Perform all other departmental related duties as assigned or requested
AEM
- Administer and support websites and content management using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
- Administer components, templates, dialogs, and workflows using the AEM architecture
- Diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management such as search result accuracy, dynamic content linking, formatting, image scaling, internationalization, and personalization
- Translate business requirements into AEM specific implementation specifications
- Administer and improve internal development methodologies
- Own and manage several AEM clustered environments
- Work with other software Engineers to investigate problems and make changes to the AEM environment and associated applications
- Develop monitoring and performance metrics for AEM platform
- Automate deployment and management of AEM services
- Investigate emerging technologies relevant to Salesforce
- Contribute to the evolving architecture of our services to meet changing requirements for scaling, reliability, performance, manageability, and price
- Document designs and procedures for building and managing AEM sites
- Follow Mercury's Information Technology processes and procedures
- Perform all other departmental related duties as assigned or requested
SharePoint
- Installing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries
- Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions
- Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform and intranet
- Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions
- Providing SharePoint support, end-user training, and documentation
- Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss
- Ensuring sufficient storage space and site performance by performing clean-ups and archiving data
- Reviewing usage and activity reports and making adjustments to ensure optimized user-experiences
- Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades
- Perform all other departmental related duties as assigned or requested
Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:
- Exceptional ability to create and maintain Salesforce databases
- In-depth knowledge of Salesforce products and their functionalities
- Proficiency in creating Salesforce profiles, allocating roles, and managing access
- Knowledge of importing sales data and generating Salesforce reports
- Ability to provide Salesforce training and end-user support
- Knowledge in AEM Authoring, Asset Management, and Integrations
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Knowledgeable in various Internet Browsers and Operating Systems
- Knowledge of SharePoint tools, Including SharePoint PowerApps, Forms, and Lists
- Superb collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Experience collaborating with customers, project managers, and engineers
Required Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent work experience
- 2 or more years of experience as a Salesforce or SharePoint administrator
- 2 or more years of of AEM Authoring or relevant professional experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Administrator or Salesforce Advanced Administrator Certification
- Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems, as well Power BI, Microsoft Flow, and Office 365
- Experience in the administration and maintenance of Salesforce systems including upgrades and integrations
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and attendant technologies
