A bit about the team

The SEO team sits within the Brand Experience department and works alongside other marketing functions to form a centre of excellence for digital marketing. The SEO team has a high profile, driving a significant volume of site traffic globally, and needs talent that can uphold this profile in a credible manner. The SEO Manager will work as part of the wider SEO team to support stakeholders throughout the business.

The Role

You'll be leading all ecommerce and editorial content optimisation, working to a seasonal cadence in a collaborative way with other departments. You'll also ensure the website category tree is properly managed for SEO, working with ecommerce and retail teams to create the correct categories for our customers. In additions to this, you'll also deliver monthly insight on SEO performance to global and country managers, helping these individuals to understand the role SEO plays at a market level. Proactive and with an all-round background in SEO, you will co-ordinate and manage an SEO agency whilst building strong relations with internal stakeholders, delivering industry leading insights, analysis and ensuring SEO best-practices are applied.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Support with developing the global SEO strategy alongside the internal SEO team and partner agency
  • Be the main contact for our agency partner, working to support the agency and be a crucial link between them and internal stakeholders. Ensure the work produced by the agency is on brand and of a high quality
  • Managing the agency partner to deliver in-depth keyword research and strategic insight
  • Continuously analyse fashion trends and seasonality in search, working with relevant teams accordingly to initiate optimisation and editing of content
  • Monitor and analyse organic search performance data, flag issues, opportunities and competitor insights, utilising industry tools such as Adobe Analytics, Rank Ranger, SEMrush and Keyword Planner
  • Compile ad hoc SEO reports as requested and in a timely manner, taking responsibility for the quality of your own work and providing insights where appropriate
  • Support trade and proposition marketing teams to ensure their activity derives SEO value where possible
  • Keep abreast of the latest search engine guidelines, news, trends, techniques and technologies as needed to ensure on-going SEO best practice in your day-to-day work
  • Compile and deliver SEO training sessions for the wider business as required

We’d love to meet someone with…

  • Minimum 2 years SEO experience in a professional work environment with at least 4 years of experience total in an marketing role
  • Experience working with a large-scale international website
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be a personable and confident team player. Able to build strong collaborative relationships and explain SEO concepts to a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven experience in project management with excellent organisational skills
  • Takes responsibility and ownership of assigned tasks; able to handle multiple work streams and deliver to agreed deadlines, managing priorities and focus as needed
  • A natural problem solver; demonstrates innovation and a proactive, can-do attitude
  • A strong understanding of online and digital tech
  • Full understanding of SEO tools: Search Console, SEMrush (or similar), Botify/Screaming Frog, and Excel – must be numerate and have an analytical approach. Experience with Adobe Analytics and Power BI is a bonus
