The Skell Valley Project’s aim is to make the Skell Valley a healthy landscape for nature and heritage, that is resilient to the effects of climate change and an enjoyable place for people to live, work and explore. The Project is co-led by National Trust and Nidderdale AONB, and is supported by a partnership of organisations, businesses and private landowners.
The Skell Valley Project will be spending £2.5 million over 4 years to protect and enhance the 12 miles of the Skell Valley, from the moorland of Dallowgill where the Skell rises, through rolling farmland and forestry, the designed landscapes at Eavestone, Grantley and Fountains, down to the cathedral city of Ripon.
This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary environment with a hard-working team who set and achieve ambitious targets.
