MiNightVet Kildare are looking for an experienced Vet to join the Out of Hours team as our Senior Vet.

VCI and VDS fees paid, CPD encouraged and supported.

Who & where are we: Grey Abbey Veterinary Hospital, based in County Kildare, Ireland is approximately 1 hour from Dublin. Kildare is the heart of Ireland's thoroughbred country. It hosts a great shopping outlet, stunning scenery and walkways and many wonderful cafes.

We are based within a modern, purpose built building with the most up to date facilities. We have three consult rooms, two surgery suites, an intensive care unit, in-house lab, ultrasound scanner. We are an accredited Hospital registered with the Veterinary Council of Ireland's practice accreditation scheme. We have our own dedicated OOH service.

The Team: You will enjoy working with an energetic, motivated and experienced team of fellow Vets, Nurses and Support Staff.

Applicant requirements: This position would suit an experienced small animal vet, preferably with a minimum of 2+ years' experience, who is capable and confident of working sole charge, leading, mentoring and supporting other veterinary surgeons alongside a small clinical team. You will have surgical experience in routine and emergency procedures and possess good communication skills. You will have a team player mentality and a passion to deliver excellent care and client service.

You will be working alongside an experienced OOH team providing triage and intensive care at an excellent standard to a variety of interesting cases involving both emergency patients and in-patients.

Working Hours: An average of 10 nights per month working on a 7 nights on, 14 nights off basis with 1:6 weekends (days). Options to swap rostered shifts with other team members where feasible.
