Job Description

The UK Lawn & Garden team is looking for a dedicated Vendor Management candidate who is eager to learn, think strategically and analytically to grow our UK Lawn & Garden business.

The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively, identify business opportunities, improve processes and have a high degree of flexibility and commitment. You will have strong communication skills and feel comfortable working in both a team environment and self prioritising based on business impact. You'll play a critical role in managing a small portfolio of strategic Lawn & Garden brands to drive the profitability and top-line performance for your category, as well as defining strategies for growth in the market segment. Furthermore, you'll also lead a number of local and EU wide processes, so the ability to influence others with strong communication skills is key.


What you’ll be doing:
· Manage day to day vendor relationships
· Prioritise business opportunities
· Manage new item set up processes
· Analyze business and promotional performance
· Work with partner teams (Instock, marketing, EU based vendor management teams)
· Present new ideas and ways of working
· Improve our current working practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree
· Experience in an e-commerce, retail, key account management/consulting environment with a proven track record of delivering results
· Professional experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
· Experience with data analysis and P&L ownership
· Excellent communication skills (fluency in English both written and verbal)
· Tenacity to develop ideas independently
· Analytical problem-solving skills with a proficiency in Excel

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Professional experience in buying/vendor management/business development. Professional experience negotiating with vendors/suppliers and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
