The ideal candidate has a track record of strong negotiation, relationship building, and analytical skills, ability to recommend and execute a vision, and build programs and features from the ground up. You will be able to influence across multiple company organizations, be an exceptionally strong analytical thinker and have a history of delivering results. You will establish and drive new relationships and strengthen existing relationships with publishers. You will be customer focused, entrepreneurial, a proven self-starter, and have the demonstrated ability to invent.
Within this role, you will:
· Be an expert relationship manager and communicator, who works closely with publishers up to C-level to ensure Amazon customers can find any book in our store, download it quickly at a great price and have an excellent experience reading it.
· Be responsible for specific publisher level metrics around selection, subscription participation, and profitability
· Become an ebooks expert who understands industry trends, the competitive environment and readers’ needs - and innovates in response.
· Work closely with leaders across the Kindle organization – locally and globally – to ensure we continue to develop new services and products.
· Identify opportunities for innovation and automation
· Fluency in both French and English (verbal and written)
· BA/ BS
· Several years of relevant business experience required
· Demonstrated track record of success in sales and negotiation
· Experience with executing deals and partnerships
· Experience delivering results in a fast-paced environment;
· Strong leader with excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work successfully with and influence all levels, both internally and externally;
· Proven analytical and quantitative skills (includes ability to use such tools as Excel); ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions;
· Able to work in a diverse team
· Experience in Vendor Management
· SQL experience
· Knowledge of or experience in publishing or other media industries, a plus
