About the role

To support management of the complex VAT requirements of the Virgin Media and O2 joint venture.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversight of the current Virgin Media VAT compliance function (currently outsourced). Including the preparation, submission, and payment of Virgin Media’s VAT returns.
• Oversight of the joint venture’s non-UK VAT compliance
• Provide VAT support to the business  on new products/services and projects.
• Ensure existing VAT positions are retained and/or maximised.
• Support on aligning legacy Virgin Media and O2 VAT positions and processes.

What We Need from You:

Essential Skills:

• Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Advisor or equivalent

• Proven VAT experience
