Senior UEFI BIOS Engineer - 96021
THE ROLE:
Come grow with our TEAM! Senior UEFI/BIOS Engineer for AMD’s next generation silicon. We are seeking an experienced firmware engineer to deliver UEFI Firmware code for AM’s leading high-performance CPUs and system devices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hands on UEFI BIOS design and development for next generation AMD silicon
- Design, develop, review, document, and maintain product source code in C/ASM
- Work with multi-functional team for the firmware design and development of firmware for next generation of AMD Silicon.
- Interact with multi-functional teams such as SOC design, Board design, Power and Performance and develop UEFI BIOS features.
- Analyze and develop firmware per internal and external (customer) specifications
- Perform unit and system level testing including failure analysis and debug of product issues as part of development and validation phases
- Develop low-level firmware, system architectures, operating systems, device architectures, in partnership with hardware and ASIC design teams
- Work with project partners turning product requirements into UEFI BIOS development plans
- Participate in a development culture which emphasizes product quality, team accountability, and continuous improvement
- Coordinate priorities and activities with other engineering partners to accomplish committed achievements
- Work with firmware architects and SoC designers to implement proofs of concept and productizing new AMD silicon features.
- Responsible for delivering high level design documents, implementation guidelines and detailed spec creation
- Work as part of a global development team spanning multiple international sites
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- BIOS/Firmware Development experience in C/ASM
- Strong understanding and experience with UEFI, silicon initialization firmware code.
- Solid understanding of PCIe , SPI, eSPI, ACPI
- Ability to read HW schematics and board files.
- Demonstrated success in firmware definition, design, and execution.
- Proven understanding of x86 architecture, from both a hardware and software context.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
