Supporting a digital acceleration consulting team and low-code development squad on specific assignments and client bids. Working closely with clients to define the business problem, gathering requirements, planning the approach, and driving technical delivery for one or more engagements. You will be used to managing digital acceleration projects through your implementation experience, self-sufficiency, project responsibility and technical supervision skills.

*Note this role is home working for the most part but will require flexibility to travel to client sites and office on an ad hoc basis*

What you’ll be doing:

Reporting to the Capability Leader, this role oversees engagement with clients for Digital Acceleration Consulting. As a consultant and business analyst, you will be the conduit between the technical team and the client. The technical team are Low-Code delivery specialists for clients in public and private sectors.

Our Low-code specialists are “T” shaped people. The foundation of the ‘T’ is development (in Low-Code), and the arms of the ‘T’ are creative and design.

We are an established, close-knit team of design-led Low-Code specialists and if you have business analyst skills, we would love to welcome you into the fold. We are lucky to be able to work on truly impactful projects which make a tangible difference to UK citizens via our Local and Central Government clients. We also work in the private sector for a vast array of large-scale enterprises.

The Digital Acceleration Consulting team leads a wide range of design and development roadmaps for a wide variety of customers and projects, using Low-Code platforms such as Outsystems, MSN and Mendix.

You will be comfortable being the conduit between clients and the core team, rapidly developing prototypes and application using busines analysis, discovery and agile principals, multiple iterations, and fail-first/test and learn development strategies. Due to Low-Code we are a lean, agile capability and as a team we keep up to date on all the projects so that we can move around and enjoy being nimble.

The Role

The Consultant BA will provide end to end business analysis, consultancy, and assurance to projects, making sure clients, third parties, internal resources and teams are well aligned. The Consultant BA is accountable to the Business Leads/Manager for the various projects being developed and implemented until the successful deployment of the solution.

oBeing the point of call for all requirements of an IT Project.

oLeading the requirements gathering of all project’s activities on Business, IT, and architecture.

oDefining a project’s problem statement, hypothesis, and purpose.

oIntegrating Business Process, Data, Application, Technical and Information Security aspects of an IT Solution.

oEnsure projects requirements are documented using the templates, standard tooling and conforming to standards.

oCoaching designers and developers in projects during their design work.

oReviewing the detailed design of an IT solution.

oTake an active role in documenting, improving & maintaining the project deliverables practised by Capita Consulting. 

oCoordinate a team of developers to achieve the requested through put of deliverables and products

oRelease planning and allocation with all stakeholders including business, operations, architecture, testing, etc.

oManaging client relationships to deliver the required outputs and track projects performance.

oWorking alongside the Programme’s leadership and Functional Lead to engage with senior stakeholders to present and discuss the projects, including taking the lead on client problem statements, project descriptions, demos, and future vision.

oRegular Reporting to senior management.

What we’re looking for:

Essential:

  • 4+ years’ experience
  • UX/UI and/or Visual design knowledge
  • Strong experience in BA for web and mobile applications
  • Sound understanding in UI, database, and webservice integration
  • Clear understanding of the full software development lifecycle - DevOps
  • Track record of creating and delivering solutions in line with business objectives
  • Experience being accountable for discovery, shaping, and requirement gathering throughout the product life cycle.
  • Lived as a UK resident for 3 years or over (or comfortable in applying for SC clearance)

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge around industry standard low code/RAD platforms, especially Outsystems, MSN & Mendix
  • BPSS / SC clearance
  • Track record in Agile Environment

  • Ability to work well with ambiguity, in an agile environment, when the requirements are forever evolving
  • Able to work independently, interact positively and communicate appropriately with team members and customers, especially remotely
