JOB PURPOSE

A less well-known part of our portfolio serves the many professionals that provide cleaning services. Unilever Professional focuses on selling home care products in professional cleaning channels like hotels, hospitals, and commercial laundries. It is managed as a stand-alone business unit.

In Unilever Professional (UPro), our purpose is ‘Making Clean and Cleaners Matter’. We are passionate about hygiene and cleanliness! We want to make the lives our cleaners as easy as possible – by providing world class ready-to-use and easy-to-use cleaning solutions for tir businesses and the people who use them. We operate across the globe and will soon be a €500M business unit. 

We are looking for an experienced formulation scientist to lead the development and scale up of laundry liquids innovations across the UPro global business.

KEYRESPONSIBILIITES:

• Translate operator and customer insights into technical solutions to meet our ambitious UPro targets
• Support the creation of formulation roadmap for laundry liquids including translation of category innovation funnel into professional, developing new claims territories and evaluating performance of our products in the professional environment
• Liaison with customer teams to translate needs into technical targets for our products,
• Development of new products for Professional’s market
• Partnering with CTI, CMI, marketing and customer teams to deliver compelling KBS and technical support for product launches
• Support UPro team in brining clean future to life in professional laundry liquids

ALL ABOUT YOU:

• Strong chemistry background, with proven track record of delivering new technologies / products to market
• Action oriented with proven ability to think quick and respond rapidly to trends/ insights and translate them into technical solutions.
• Strong project management skills and stakeholder influencing
• Strategic thinker with the ability to analysis and navigate complex problems
• Good communicator and strong presentation skills
• Familiar with the end-to-end R+D process

The ideal candidate will have direct experience of Industrial & Institutional cleaning or detailed domestic laundry product technology.
