The Opportunity  

Join a team of exceptional and collaborative technical writers dedicated to building high-quality content for Adobe Commerce customers, partners, and developers. 

We are looking for a Senior Technical Writer who can come in and quickly contribute to our technical documentation about the world\'s greatest ecommerce platform. A writer who loves digging into the code, talking with the developers, and documenting our ecommerce platform would be ideal. Developer guides, installation and configuration guides, cloud deployment, best practices for extension developers, and a rewarding interaction with our dedicated developer community are some of the lively projects that you’ll work on.  

We have a strong team of writers, but we are growing fast and need more documentation! 

What you\'ll do  

• Plan, organize, and author developer guides, user guides, and API references for SaaS products and cloud technologies 

• Attend cross functional meetings to understand product direction, technical details, and business use cases of the features that you document 

• Test features that you document to ensure accuracy and completeness and to derive samples for reference pages 

• Coordinate technical and peer reviews for documentation assignments 

• Work with our Open Source community to improve and extend our documentation 

• Follow established workflows to support product delivery with minimal supervision 

• Participate in the continuous improvement of documentation standards, tools, and processes 

What you need to succeed  

• 5+ years developing enterprise and cloud software documentation for users and developers in an Agile product development environment 

• Experience using Markdown, static site generators, Git, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence to develop and manage documentation 

• Experience testing and documenting APIs 

• Comfortable working within processes and standards but looking for continuous improvements 

• Self-starter with ability to manage deliverables end-to-end, possessing strong awareness of upstream and downstream partner impacts 

• Ability to adapt to changes in priorities, projects, and processes with equanimity 

• Ability to collaborate with multiple writers on the same project 

• Relationship-building skills with internal partners and external customers
