Deliver solutions that defend the UK’s interests

Within your area, you’ll lead on delivering high-level and low-level technical designs both for our organisation and wider government departments. In everything you do, you’ll ensure our work is best-practice and compliant with all industry and policy standards. Naturally, that means you’ll have extensive experience: for Infrastructure, it’s working with VMware platforms on hyper-converged infrastructure environments expanding into broader ‘cloud solution’ (e.g. AWS, Azure). Your technical skills are outstanding and you can explain your work in clear terms for non-technical colleagues too.

Provide strategic insight with an international impact

Creating a detailed and ambitious roadmap for the Hosting service owner, you’ll also feed into the overall strategy of the Director and the Chief Architect, lending them your insight to ensure that we stay ahead of the curve and are competitive in our market. And when you do, you’ll be making sure that our government customers get the very highest standards in secure technology, keeping vital data and services safe every day. Essential

• Agile Foundation level accreditation or relevant job experience;

• Subject Matter Expertise in relevant technologies, tools and products; qualified to industry level; deep understanding of IT security policy and principles;

• Substantial experience in relevant roles, including technologies in enterprise and virtual environments and of working within a secure environment such as the FCDO, MOD;

• Experience selecting technologies and establishing technical roadmaps

Qualifications
