Sr. Systems Analyst
The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual with a proven track record of collaborating with business partners, understanding business requirements, translating business requirements into system requirements, and making recommendations regarding system functionality. This individual will work closely with development teams, partners, technology leads, and agile teams to ensure successful delivery of program achievements and adherence of the deliverables to the product roadmaps. It’s a fast-paced environment where decisions are customer-centric, data-focused, collaborative, and iterative!
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree required. Technology-related field preferred.
7+ years of project delivery experience in a systems or business analyst role
5+ years working on agile teams delivering value in digital products preferred. Agile/Scrum experience is preferred
Demonstrable experience with systems development methodologies and formal documentation processes
Successful track record delivering in an evolving and fast-paced environment
Proven experience with project management in a technology / software development organization
Crafting web-based transaction applications in Agile/SCRUM methodology including requirements, stories and project tracking using JIRA
Knowledge of Financial services is a plus
Experience with APIs
Superb communication as a writer, presenter, and facilitator with presentation skills, both written and verbal
Outstanding collaborator and consensus builder
Results-driven and delivery-oriented, with ability to operate effectively at both strategic and tactical levels
Proactive, extraordinary teammate who understands how systems applications can provide solutions to business problems and objectives
Proven social skills including negotiation, communication, and influence
Has broad application/ technology knowledge (i.e. SQL, Use case writing, business processes and system workflows documentation) and is a recognized specialist in two or more areas
Highly developed organizational skills including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Entrepreneurial problem solver comfortable accepting, proposing and leading change
Experience in solving sophisticated business problems while turning them into simple software solutions
Comfortable working in a highly matrixed environment, involving multiple partners and technical groups
The Value You Deliver
Provide systems analysis on an Agile team that includes multiple business and technology partners. Collaborate with other Agile teams (Scrum of Scrums, etc.) to manage dependencies and scope
Collaborate with Agile team members to build comprehensive and cohesive solution approaches.
Work with partners to define the scope of problems/issues, in terms of business and/or system requirements and processes
Work with Agile team to develop user stories, acceptance criteria, and story maps
Participate and/or lead backlog refinement sessions. Translate sophisticated business needs into clear, significant, requirements/user stories. Research and evaluate alternative solutions
Demonstrable ability to evaluate design of existing systems to judge their functionality, efficiency, reliability, performance, usage, maintainability and cost of ownership
Provide support in estimating, planning, scheduling, and prioritizing work
Apply documentation standards and standard methodologies
Driven individual to understand the “Whyâ€, with the ability to deal with ambiguous situations
The Team
Fidelity Charitable is looking for a Systems Analyst to join a fast-paced Agile technology team in Durham, North Carolina. The team is responsible for delivering and/or supporting features and digital experiences capabilities for our charitable donors, advisors, and internal service representatives. You’ll work to support the systems analysis for the team and make a huge impact on the organization by helping solve sophisticated business problems. This individual will be a member of a hard-working team consisting of software engineers, quality engineers and business analysis professionals.
