As the Senior Strategy Analyst within the Customer & Market Insights (CMI) team, you will have the unique opportunity to drive long-term impact on the AWS business. You will build repeatable methodologies and develop go-to-market strategies working alongside our EMEA Leadership to accelerate our customers on their Cloud journey. Focusing on a given industry (e.g. Financial Services, Retail, Media & Entertainment, etc.), Segment (SMB, ISV, Enterprise etc.), Geographic Area or a combination of these, you will gather and analyse data through primary and/or secondary research, extract best practices to build a scalable robust framework and use your strategic thinking to inform go-to-market decisions.

Key responsibilities include, and are not limited to :
This role will have elements of Business and Go-to-market Strategy, Data Analysis and Market Research with a strong focus on building repeatable mechanisms that will allow us to quickly scale and replicate our solutions. The scope of this role spans the EMEA business and is poised to have a significant impact on its growth.
· As part of the Business Acceleration Projects unit, you will interface with EMEA Leaders across different functions and geographies.
· You will build and maintain a portfolio of resources, economic/data models and tools to carry out Business Analysis and Market Research studies on different market or customer segments and granularities.
· You will manage stakeholder relationships from the Business Acceleration Projects standpoint, in other words keep regular cadenced exchanges with internal teams : Sales, Marketing, Segments & Programs, Operations and Enablement, Analyst Relations, Partner Network and other global teams such as the Global Analysts, Operations and Finance/BI teams.
· Present your insights and recommendations to your stakeholders as part of the collective project deliverables.
· Synthesise your research into narratives with tangible and quantified business recommendations and go-to-market strategies, and track the implementation of these recommendations to maximize the impact to the business.
· You will maintain a roadmap of such studies that you will perform and prioritise based on impact to the business and input from EMEA leadership and other key stakeholders.
· Create and maintain well-documented mechanisms to allow the Market Research activity to scale across multiple projects and shorten the time to insights.
· Contribute to the vision and strategy of the Customer and Market Insights team as it scales going forward.
· Data mining and analytics : create and maintain your own set of reports, pulling data from internal resources, combining with data from external sources to complement and inform your Business Acceleration Projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· First degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Finance/Economics field
· Relevant experience as an Analyst, Management Consultant or similar role, preferably more than 5 years cumulatively
· MBA degree
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with excellent problem-solving abilities in the face of ambiguity

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Demonstrated ability to work successfully cross-functionally or coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with senior leadership on program objective, goals and metrics.
· Curiosity and willingness to continually learn and self-develop
· Strong work ethics and discipline to structure operations track progress and communicate proactively with stakeholders
· Knowledge of Cloud and AWS services from the business perspective a plus
· Experience with advanced querying using SQL or similar language (large datasets, complex data sources)
· Advanced Excel user or familiarity with other BI tools
