Job Summary:

The Senior Retail Operations Store Manager is a leadership position responsible for managing the Cast in high-volume retail stores. You will ensure efficient and safe operations, promote a positive Guest experience, increase Cast engagement and safeguard our brand. You will aim to improve Guest service standards; recognize/coach Cast behaviors; and manage the business through Key Goals.

You will report to the Senior Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate excellence working in the operation daily, which includes engaging with guests and cast members and resolving any issues
  • Maintain positivity with a focus on Cast to inspire, engage and develop a diverse team
  • Recognize cast members and hold them accountable for delivering excellence in safety, courtesy, show and efficiency. Be a teacher and developer, take a sincere interest in the Cast and be vested in their success
  • Be an example to and help guide the Stage Managers in your area
  • Exceed Guest expectations that yield results and positive guest feedback
  • Partner and collaborate with other leadership teams because of shared Cast base
  • Participate in departmental meetings and communicate relevant information to cast members
  • Make balanced daily operational decisions that benefit guests, cast members and the demands of the business
  • Monitor daily staffing levels while anticipating changes to shift coverage needs based on demand. Lead and achieve daily results
  • Support local projects and monitor any potential impacts to the guest and cast experience
  • Implement Resort projects relating to merchandise logistics, visual standards, and merchandise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years of leadership/managerial experience
  • Established ability to relay efficient information in verbal and written form, including conflict resolution, problem-solving and decision-making
  • Established skills to lead in a team environment, hold self and others accountable, and the ability to deal with conflict with influential partnership and networking skills
  • Operational guest service experience and guest service skills
  • Manage varied priorities efficiently and with accuracy
  • Proficient in basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and adapting to new technology
  • Understand the impact of financial aspects of an operation (i.e. operating budget, revenue, labor, inventory systems, costs, etc.)
  • Planning and organizational skills as it relates to the Key Business Indicators.
  • Knowledge of retail sales techniques and practices
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including late nights, early mornings, weekends, variable shifts and holidays
  • Experience as retail manager in a high volume and fast- paced environment
  • Motivated to achieve results
  • Analyze, problem solve, and make decisions that realize operative results

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ Years of experience in a leadership role within Retail (or Specialty Retail) with responsibility:
    • Driving Revenue
    • Labor Management
    • Visual Merchandising
    • Cost Control
    • Inventory Shrink/Loss Prevention
    • High-level Customer Service
    • Team Development
    • Demonstrated leadership attributes:
    • Business acumen, collaboration and integration, ownership, heritage/legacy/brand knowledge and versatile
  • Experience leading in a union environment
  • Bilingual skills

Required Education

  • High school degree or equivalent

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in or equivalent
